“We had the best time working on this sidewalk mural with Elle from Enliven Murals! My partner and I wanted to showcase whimsical creatures from the Pacific Northwest. We sent some ideas to Elle, and she just ran with it! In no time whatsoever, she had a mock-up, a very vibrant color palette for each creature, and had miraculously found a few dry but chilly days in Portland Fall to do the outside work, collectively brainstorming and communicating with us the entire way.
We decided to have the creatures munching on our yard’s bounty of grapes, apples, and figs, which was a really nice touch. The detail of the work - Sasquatch’s gentle face and mangy nails, the giant octopus tentacles billowing out from the grapevine, and the playful poses of the sea otters - filled us with joy as they came to life on the fence. We’re very impressed and happy with how it turned out, and would definitely commission Elle for other projects.”
